Partnership Highlights
- Adherium has secured a partnership with Tenovi to advance remote therapeutic monitoring for patients with chronic respiratory diseases
- Adherium Hailie® Smart inhalers are now integrated with Tenovi’s Cellular Gateway technology
- The partnership aims to improve outcomes and reduce the total cost of care by addressing significant medication adherence challenges – both for patients and payors – with more than 50 percent of patients with chronic illnesses failing to take medication as prescribed1
This collaboration will support the integration of the Adherium Hailie® Smart inhalers with Tenovi’s Cellular Gateway technology in the United States (U.S) market first, offering a clinically proven technology platform to support both patient outcomes and the payor models deeply invested in supporting continuity of care.
This partnership will provide a proven medication adherence solution for patients with difficult-to-treat and severe asthma; enhanced remote monitoring capabilities which can be extended into payer programs; and support a cost-effective monitoring ecosystem that helps to reduce the overall cost of respiratory care.
Adherium Business Development Director, John Giszczak, said: “Addressing the challenges of patient adherence to medication is our core business at Adherium – a mission shared with our incoming partners at Tenovi. We know that more than 50 percent of patients with chronic illnesses do not take medication as prescribed and with appropriate support and intervention, from clinically validated technology systems and clinical support personnel, we can vastly improve quality of life and aim to reduce hospitalisations.”
This combined monitoring system will provide a scalable solution which leverages existing Durable Medical Equipment (DME) strategies while simplifying connectivity and data management. It will also support seamless integration of remote monitoring and therapeutic monitoring devices.
Tenovi offers an advanced technology platform that integrates with medical devices and software to deliver real-time health data to healthcare providers. The company’s proprietary solution enables connectivity across a wide range of FDA-cleared devices, including blood pressure monitors, glucose meters, pulse oximeters, and smart weight scales. Tenovi is pushing the boundaries of Cellular Gateway technology – empowering healthcare teams to access accurate, actionable data without the need for manual intervention or complex setups – making healthcare more accessible and effective for providers and patients alike.
Tenovi Chief Growth Officer, Iftah Mashav, said: “We are delighted to partner with Adherium to extend the reach and impact of Tenovi’s Cellular Gateway technology, which reduces the need for high-cost individual cellular connections for each device and simplifies the care delivery process by consolidating data from multiple connected medical devices and securely transmitting data to the Tenovi secure cloud. Our partnership will aim to significantly advance remote therapeutic monitoring for patients with chronic respiratory disease.”
